The challenge
TravelPerk, one of Spain's most recognised technology unicorns, wanted to explore new product lines related to professional networking at corporate events and business trips. The challenge was to build a completely new app, BumpIn, from scratch and in a short time frame, that would facilitate contact exchange and the creation of professional connections naturally and without friction.
The solution
Dribba developed BumpIn with Flutter for iOS and Android, integrating NFC-based contact exchange functionality that allows two users to share their professional information simply by bringing their phones close together. The app includes editable professional profiles, contact history and connection tracking features, all designed for the context of use at events and business meetings.
Results
BumpIn launched as a networking tool for the TravelPerk community, available free of charge to users. The project demonstrated Dribba's ability to work with high-calibre product teams and deliver within tight timelines.
TravelPerk is one of Spain's most recognised technology unicorns: a corporate travel management platform with global reach. BumpIn is one of their new product initiatives: a professional networking app for events that makes contact exchange and the creation of connections feel natural.
Dribba developed BumpIn in Flutter for iOS and Android, with the central feature of contact exchange via NFC: two users bring their phones close together and contact information is transferred automatically. The app's design was thought through for the context of use at events: quick flows, a clear interface and no need for Wi-Fi or mobile data for the exchange. As Flutter official Google Partner in Spain, Dribba provided the technical expertise needed to integrate NFC natively on both platforms.
The work with TravelPerk is an example of collaboration with product teams that have high technical and business demands. BumpIn was delivered on schedule and launched to the TravelPerk community as a free professional networking tool.
