The challenge
The project demanded balancing the needs of two audiences with very different purchasing behaviours. B2C consumers wanted a visual, smooth and intuitive browsing experience to discover and buy eyewear. B2B clients needed advanced functionality: volume order management, product customisation and access to detailed commercial information. The challenge was to integrate both experiences into a single site without compromising either.
The solution
Dribba chose Next.js as the main framework for its server-side rendering performance and scalability, and GraphQL to efficiently manage the complex data queries of both segments. The architecture was designed with a mobile-first philosophy from the very first wireframe, prioritising load speed and the experience on small devices. The infrastructure was deployed on Google Cloud Platform to ensure availability and responsiveness during traffic peaks.
Results
The Slastik website delivers fast load times, a smooth user experience and an architecture that allows growth in both catalogue volume and commercial functionality. The platform serves individual customers and business accounts from the same domain, without friction.
