The challenge
Ocean Ecostructures installs marine restoration structures in ports and seabeds around the world, but lacked a digital platform to clearly communicate the scope and impact of its work. They needed to show their intervention points on a global map with up-to-date data, reaching an international audience of investors, NGOs and public bodies.
The solution
Dribba developed three interconnected components: a Flutter mobile app with geolocated visualisation of the restoration points, a GoLang backend to manage implementation data at high performance, and a Next.js back-office that lets Ocean Ecostructures administrators update and manage the map points without any technical input.
Results
The digital platform became Ocean Ecostructures' primary communication tool for investors and international organisations. The app makes it possible to show the geographical reach of their work in real time and has facilitated the acquisition of new partners.
Ocean Ecostructures develops marine ecosystem restoration structures, installed in ports and seabeds around the world. Their need was a digital platform that could communicate the impact of their work to a global audience of investors, public bodies and conservation organisations.
Dribba delivered a complete three-layer solution: the mobile app built in Flutter shows all implementation points on an interactive map with information about each intervention; the GoLang backend manages the data efficiently and at scale; and the Next.js back-office lets administrators update the map and content autonomously. This is the same approach we apply in all our digital product projects: technology in service of a clear business objective.
The app handles international audiences correctly with multilingual support and display adapted to different devices. Ocean Ecostructures administrators can add new implementation points from the back-office without any technical knowledge, giving the team full operational autonomy.
