The challenge
Building the app for Spain's leading trade union means managing an enormous diversity of content, users and contexts. The main challenge was consolidating a wide range of union-related information — news, discounts, collective agreements, calendars, administrative procedures — into a single intuitive platform accessible to very different user profiles. On top of that, each company, sector and region needed its own modules with specific content and functionality, requiring a modular architecture capable of scaling without compromising the user experience.
The solution
Dribba built the app with Flutter to ensure parity between iOS and Android from a single high-quality codebase. The backend was developed in GoLang to handle the integration load with CCOO's existing systems and to support the dynamic modules per collective. The Next.js back-office lets union managers publish news, update collective agreements and manage each module's configuration autonomously, without any technical dependency.

Spain's largest trade union
The CCOO app (Comisiones Obreras) is the digital tool of Spain's largest trade union, with over 1,000,000 members. The project required centralising a large amount of dispersed union information — news, discounts, administrative procedures, collective agreements — into a single mobile platform, usable for very different groups: from hospitality workers to civil servants.
Dribba built the app with Flutter, which allowed delivering a high-quality native experience on both iOS and Android from a single codebase. The backend was developed in GoLang to efficiently manage integration with CCOO's internal systems and support the custom modules per sector, company and territory. The administration panel was built in Next.js, giving union managers the autonomy to update content without any technical dependency. The results speak for themselves: the app surpassed +4,000 downloads in the first few days after launch, with a very positive reception from members. The modular architecture allows new collectives and companies to be added without redesigning the app, ensuring the project's long-term scalability.
